Dean’s Message

We are indeed to welcome new students to the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) at Benadir University. The FEM is committed to providing quality business education with aim of equipping the students with competency, skills and character that will prepare them to be future economists and leaders who are responsible and capable of understanding and addressing socio-economic challenges in an innovative manner. In line with this assertion, the faculty reviews the curriculum periodically to ensure the programs remain relevant in today’s dynamic business environment in the world. The FEM benchmarks against the world-class universities and closely collaborates with industries to extend the students’ learning opportunities beyond classes that are critical for their future professional success.

Background

Established in 2014, the vision of FEM is to be the center of excellence in quality of education in the field of economics, banking and management through teaching, learning, research and community service. The faculty will produce a greater number of human capital to fulfill the need for a well-educated labor force and demand for visionary and ethical leaders who will shape the development of the nation’s economy and society.

Moreover, the FEM collaborates closely with overseas universities that support the faculty to develop an updated curriculum and to build student-life facilities to meet and surpass the best-practices of peer universities.
