FACULTY BACKGROUND

The Benadir University Faculty of Economic and Management (FEMA) was established in 2014 as a multidisciplinary new unit to address the current and specific needs of Somalia’s economy, socioeconomic skills, and strategic development.

Since its establishment, the faculty has been tremendously successful in training students for careers in the private sector, public administration, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). BU FEMA aims to prepare the future managers, policymakers, and leaders of the nation.

In addition, the faculty will provide short-term courses as well as centers of excellence in post-conflict recovery and governance (PCRG) research.

VISION: 

To be the center of excellence in quality education in the fields of economics, banking, and finance, and management through teaching, learning, research, and community services.

 MISSION: 

To create an academic environment that promotes teaching and learning skills and sustains high professional standards.
